Flow sensor and 3 axis interface pcb

Postby diegocim » Mon Jun 03, 2013 12:52 am

I hope someone could help me with that, because I can't find the answer in the forum.
Can I use this flow meter ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ATN ... UTF8&psc=1 ) or this one (http://www.lightobject.com/Water-flow-S ... -P541.aspx ) in the 3 Axis Laser Interface PCB?
I see in the users guide that Bart mentions an advanced water flow control by using the 3 ports on the water loop conector , but I can't figure it out how to connect the sensor and why it is always giving me normally closed contact.

Thanks in advance

Those sensors give one or more pulses per revolution. The do not output a no/no-go contact for flow so they cannot be used independently on a simple PCB. I used on for a while on my original laser, but I used a microprocessor to read the pulses.

It is something an Arduino could easily do.

A switch like this would be a lot simpler.

Thanks Bart for your reply,
I was figuring out this answer when your wrote it. I thought easier using a simple switch like you said. I've got this one on amazon and it works pretty good.
