There are quite a few liquids that clean, depending on the kind of polution.
Aceton (mainly resins from wood)
Amonia (grease)
Alcohol (various)
White spirit
Water (just dust)
Just to mention a few.. oh, and Vinegar, ofcourse
All applied with a soft cloth (no coton, no paper..and surely no sandpaper)

And then after you cleaned it with that vinegar ? (I read somewhere you need 6% or 6° vinegar or is that not a problem?)

Can you the just put the lens back or do you have to rince it ? Vinegar is acid and I thought ZnSe doesn't like acid ?

I just use a nice clean old t-shirt. For those purists out there, it's probably a no-no... but I've not had any issue with it yet. Not sure of the concentration of vinegar. It's a solution my wife made, and I stole after noticing how well it worked. And I don't rinse after, just buff it off.
