Are you using RAMPS for the control? Do you use the RepRap standard control interface?

My apologies if you answered this already.

I am using the RAMPS shield. I am using Sprinter software. I am pretty new to this so I took a low risk well proven easy to use stack

Sprinter
Printrun (pronterface)
Slic3r

You can see the electronics here.

The E driver and motor are not even warm.

In that case, try turning the current up a bit.

Hi Barton,

First of all, I'm impressed by the simplicity, but also the beauty of the design. While I was browsing your shop, I found you don't ship overseas. I am based in the Netherlands. Is there still a way to get access to the kits once it is ready?

Thanks,
Gijs

BOM

Postby bdring » Sun Feb 12, 2012 5:45 pm

Here is a first cut at the BOM.

There are probably a lot of little errors in it that I will sort out soon. I put very rough assembly drawings in, but need to clean them up a lot. PDFs and DXFs of the piece parts will come within the next few days.

International shipping. I think there are flat rate options that will put shipping in the $45 - $65.

Perfect!

Love the shopping list. A lot of the stuff (makerslide, wheels, spacers etc.) where in the kickstarter set as far as I can tell, so building one of these should be a breeze:-)

Help...Name For Next Size?

Postby bdring » Sun Feb 12, 2012 9:55 pm

I am working on the documentation and prototype for the larger size. I like the name 'Quantum" for the little guy. What should I name the next size?

This uses the standard 210 square MK1/MK2 heated platforms used on a lot of Mendels. I need a good size term like Quantum, but larger. There may be larger size yet, so I need room to grow in the name so I don't want a name that implies "biggest" ORD Bot.

Midi?
Midway (get it?)
Grand?
Grande?
Mega?
Jumbo?
Bubba?

Planck? Stretching a bad pun further, the biggest one could be Max...
