I'd probably be interested in a Hadron. How large are the build areas on both?

EDIT: Oops, found the info in this thread -- 135mm square on the Quantum, 210mm square on the Hadron. Yes, Hadron it is for me.

These look great, and I think I'd be interested in having one around too. Preferentially the Hadron size (if the NEMA17 motors don't add too much to the cost -- the Adafruit ones I used for the 3d printable laser cutter are only $14 ( http://www.adafruit.com/products/324 ) , and plenty torquey, if there's the potential for them to be useful here.

thanks!

If you have good sources for materials, I will take them, but nothing retail please. I already buy things like steppers by the hundreds directly from the factory.

Please put those sources in the "sources for stuff" forum.

Taking Reservations

Postby bdring » Tue Feb 14, 2012 11:52 pm

I put up a reservation item in the MakerSlide store. I hope it works correctly, please let me know if there are any problem.

Just saying "I want one" one the forum, blog, thingiverse, etc. did not get you on the list. :D

Unless anyone objects, a page with the order queue can be generated.

Done and done. I've been trying to get an 8020-based 3d printer going for years, and it's gigantic and clunky compared to this. I give up!

Hopefully when a kit is ready, I'll be in a position to buy the parts for a 2.x laser, too.

Sorry to bring the tone down, but a slight misspelling of Hadron will make it not family friendly at all ;)

A slight misspelling of Large Hadron Collider makes for even less family friendliness, but they still call it the Large Hadron Collider ;)

Hadron ORD Bot - Reservation paid for. I have been waiting for this to be available. It's going to be a long 4-6 weeks.
