The precompiled binaries worked perfect for me. But I'm on 10.6.8, so YMMV...

Did you have to install anything else, or just the binary?

Just the binary.

Thanks, I'll try tracking down the problem elsewhere, then.

Turns out even though I had both Pronterface and Marlin configured for 250000 baud, I couldn't connect to the RAMPS board.

I changed both to 115200 and it worked.

I made some progress assembling the Makergear plastruder. The thermal core is done and the rest is ready for assembly.

i finished assembling the plastruder and did some "free form" extruding. My hadron gantry is assembled and moving smoothly. One thing I noticed is that if the carriage is at the extreme right, it is possible for the wheels to reach the end of the v rail. I may put a hard stop in later. The wheels aren't dented as far as I can tell.

The other extrusions are marked for drilling at work. I did receive a mystery item with the hadron. The box included a bag of four M3x10 mm button head cap screws. Maybe they were meant for the other belt clamps? My kit included the two part clamps and self threading plastic screws.

The M3 x 10mm screws were for the old clamp. They were already in the hardware "burrito" so I left them in.

That makes sense. So far, everything is looking great. Thanks, Bart!

First Print!

Postby rogue555 » Sun Jun 10, 2012 8:02 pm

I finally got it all together and made my first print. I printed the traditional shot glass using mostly default (wrong  ) settings. It worked suprisingly well, once I tweaked the extruder driver current to prevent overheating. I did have to swap to orange filament as I ran out of the yellow sample provided by Ultimachine. I'll have to figure out how to make that go smoother before I try it again.

:D
