Simple db9 solderless connectors for G540

I saw an ad here for some and wanted folks to also see some more info on them as the model info was absent.

Max Blox CD-MX9M is the male DB9 connector and the hood is CD-MX915H.

$21 buys 5 of the connectors on ebay most days BIN or $11 if you go through an auction cycle.

Hoods can be bought at http://www.btx.com/default.aspx?page=item+detail&itemcode=CD-MX915H&catlist=743 but they are about $3 ea.

Terminals for motor end are sold super cheap at radioshack.

You will still need resistors even with the parts above - also bought at radioshack.

Really though it is SUPER easy to just use the EZG540 at soigeneres and they are $17 for four and come with shield and have the variable resistor potentiometer built in. Takes 4 drops of solder. If you cant solder you prob should not be using a G540 in anything IMO. Unsoldering is almost as fast as heating up the iron.

I've ordered two sets of these from soigeneris and they work great. A great solution. He was even nice enough to sell me some normal ends for building my own cables. I highly recommend them. Also Jeff Birt is very good at answering questions over at the Taig owners Forums. http://taigownersclub.forumotion.net
