Starter question about power entry module unit

Postby joostvandenhurk » Fri Feb 10, 2012 10:22 am

Hello,

I've started this project a couple of weeks ago and now I'm getting in to the electronic part of the build. I've got the power entry module that comes with the electronics kit from Buildlog. But since I live in the Netherlands (Europe), my question is wether this entry module is suitable or not? Here we have 230 V AC (220-240V) coming out of the walls. The description on the module says: "Use only with 250 V fuses" and a solid triangle points at "220-240V" (on the side of the switch), while another solid triangle points at "110-120V", at the side of the connector.

An answer is greatly appreciated!

The module is rated for 250VAC. I do not suggest using the fuse section of that module. The circuit breaker on the circuit you are getting the power from should provide adequate protection.

Ok, thanks. So there's actually a fuse inside this module?

The is a space for a fuse. You need to wire the wire it accordingly if you want to use that feature.
