Located in Germany, help sourcing custom parts kit

Postby Robo » Fri Jun 19, 2015 7:59 am

Hi, I would like to begin my 2.x Laser build, and I'm located in Germany.

It seems like the kit parts are no longer for sale. Looking at the custom parts kit, most of them are made from plastic and can be 3D printed. However, there are also a number of aluminium parts though.

Does anyone have experience with this? How can I obtain the aluminium parts, and is 3D printing the plastic ones the way to go?

Also, for the remaining parts, I already know about this thread, if anyone have any Germany specific updates/tips I would appreciate it:

I'm quite looking forward to starting this build!

If you stick to Bart's original design, 3d printing most of the parts is totally possible and makes things go pretty quick. If you already have access to a laser cutter, a lot of them can be laser cut but 3D printing is the easiest way to go.
