HI,

i`m sorry but i can`t find "Socket Head Set Screw #4-40 x 1/8 SHSS044008S" on BOM and even any kits doesn`t have it inside
Is it a mistake or what ?

You can find it only in "System Assembly Drawing" drawing

As I recall all setscrews were already threaded into their assemblies in the kits. The one you name is probably the one in the 1/4" 20 threaded coupler used to connect the Y axis to the stepper motor. In my kit those were threaded into the couplers in the kit (but prominently visible).

Set Screws

Postby bdring » Thu Jun 09, 2011 6:46 pm

The set screws are part of the shaft couplers. I wanted to stop printing the extra label, so I removed it from the BOM.

BTW: Set screws here and on pulleys can easily vibrate out before they are tightened on the shaft. I find many pulleys I have are missing set screws. I double check all right before they go in the zip lock bags, but be careful on your end that they did not come out and fall into the bag. They might easily get lost if they came out and you did not notice.
