Electronics Module Changes

Postby bdring » Wed Jun 29, 2011 2:55 am

I have changed the electronics module to use the sheet metal rear panel that matches the laser interface interface/driver PCB. I was never very happy with the old MDF/Partial part. The detail and the pockets were hard to do in wood anyway. This also changes to a "Decora" style outlet. This will give international people a better chance of getting something to fit in that hole. I accidentally sent the old style outlet to a few people...sorry. I think I am just going to remove it from the BOM entirely. It is cheap and easy for anyone to get.

The drawing of the panel is here.

I will update the the assembly and BOM when I get a chance.

Hey there Bart -

Would you happen to have the drawing in .dxf format? Cut2d is giving me fits when trying to import the .pdf.

They are for the microstep mode switches. See the picture above. You can change the resolution without opening the enclosure.
