Normally I install them with an arbor press, but I did not have access to that last weekend. At home I either use my drill press or a vise. That was taking a long time to do all the kits I had to ship, so I started shipping them out unpressed. Everyone should have access to a drill press or vise.
Just press them in square and flush to the surface. Do not hammer them in. Try to remember to make a left and a right version.

I brought in about 200 of them to work today to use the arbor press. There is nothing magical about the arbor press other than time savings. These nuts don't take a lot of force to install.
