Open Rail System

Postby iGull » Sun Jun 17, 2012 9:43 pm

Hi

Surprised no-one has mentioned this (as opposed to Bart's MakerSlide :D ).

I've been a forum member of Phlatforum for a few years and wrote a few of the plugins for SketchUCam - however ...

Same idea as makerslide, except that it's just the bare hardened alumin(i)um rail - you can screw it to misumi extrusion (and probably 20mm KJN/Bosch Rexroth etc by default).

Be useful for anyone contemplating a longer/stronger machine as you can use bigger extrusion than 40x20. Suits Barts bearings and vee wheels.

Cheers

Neil

Your posts might have put them way over their goal. I backed it, going to use it to make a 4 axis hot wire foam cutter. Problem is I will have
way more than I need so have to think up something else to make.
