Mirror - Which way ?

Hi,
it`s maybe a silly question but i don`t want broke mirrors.
Which way should be installed ?
Laser should touch :
1. Gold side ?
2. Silver side ?

These are surface mirrors. If you bought gold mirrors, it should strike the gold side.
