Better Glass Etch Technique

I don't know what method you used, but consider this.

Laser etching glass fractures the surface. To minimize the chipping and flaking that blurs the edge try firing the laser through wet newspaper. I found several references to this including this good article from Epilog.

Good work on the beer logo.
I usually use a piece of steel wool to rub all over the engraving after I have finished it to work away the shards that are sometimes left. It cleans them up really nice and just takes a few seconds to do.
Just a little trick I started using a few years ago and I haven't seen any reference of any one else doing it but it does work well and I haven't cut myself doing it at all.
