Importing from china?

just wondering if anyone knows the process of importing. I ordered a laser machine from china and I am trying to make sure that when I go to the airport to pick it up, everything will go smooth. I called U.S. customs and they said just come in and fill out the paper work and pay duty tax then I can go to airport and pick it up. can anyone verify any of this so I can rest my nerves a little. thanks

Never been to the airport to pick up. Everything I have ever ordered from China has come straight to the house by DHL. Several tubes and my first engraver.

As long as custom is not too far from your packet it should not last long. It is like get a paper from your transporter go to custom fill the paperwork/pay, and go back to grab your stuff.
