Yes, but they are working on something else which will likely be a good alternative to Tinkercad.

If anybody has projects/account there, I'd suggest grabbing all your data asap.

From the site:

The Tinkercad shutdown timeline will be:
Effective immediately we have closed sign-ups for new users
April 30 2013 - All free accounts will be changed to read only
August 31 2013 - All academic accounts will be changed to read only
December 31 2013 - All paid accounts will be changed to read only
June 31 2014 - Read only access for all users will be discontinued

Unfortinately it looks like that isn't the case. I saw this on reddit:
This is Kai from Tinkercad.
Airstone is definitely a different product than Tinkercad, otherwise we would have just continued development in the same mainline. You can think of it as Matlab for solid shapes, except a Matlab powered by a supercomputer. That means it can do things like fluid flow analysis in seconds as opposed to waiting for hours for the computation.
I dare say we were especially focused on making sure paying accounts have enough transition time. Nine months seemed like a decent time for people to transition into new tools. Obviously that doesn't remove the sting of having to do the transition in the first place.
