LASER 40W Model DC-K40III

Hi to all,
I'm Valerio and come from Italy and have buy recently a classic small cheapest 40W laser CO2 "used" like this:

This is Model DC-K40III, that somebody known surely, I did pay 500,00 on ebay (used)...all work but I looking well should change something:
1- The area of laser tables is more little of available and the clamp of object is uncomfortable: here need a Z lift table with stepper motor.
2- A best controller like DSP (from lightobject) instead of controller with Nawlydraw software included.

In practice I would like make a retrofit to take a better level this laser; I just have another CNC (no laser) and I'm incoming in cnc laser world.... in this days I get many info from web looking many guy that had make several modify to this model DC-K40III.

Would appreciate any good advise
