Rear Panel

Postby mlconti » Sun Nov 18, 2012 2:24 am

I am looking for pics of finished rear panels - both "stock" and custom.

Thanks!

Mike

I don't use the current version on my lasers so cannot take a picture. Why do you need the picture? Maybe I can answer your ultimate question in another way.

There is no post or diagram showing what goes where. the obvious power connection, USB and DB25 are easy to figure out - the two square spots (outlets??) and the round holes are not that obvious - and I would like to put a LAN connection for the DSP on it but wanted to see how others had finished the plate out.
Would love some feedback.

Thanks,

Mike

I added some more information to the wiki on the rear panel.

Thanks Bart - that helps but brings up another question.

Do I still need to build/purchase the Laser Interface PCB for use with the DSP controller - I guess I was thinking I did not need it based on an email exchange with you.

please help clarify this for me and possibly others.

Thanks.

The laser interface is not ideal for the DSP. It would be overly complicated. You just need a 3 axis card or 3 independent drivers.

So do you have a 3 axis card in mind :)
