Clock

Thought you might be interested in the battery operated electro mechanical clock I made using my homemade laser. I've now managed to get it running well although I haven't managed to keep my build log up to date. Seemed to be making so many changes etc I lost track! :? .
The frame and base were cut out on my cnc router but all the gears and engraving was done on my laser. This was the reason for building it in the first place as I found my router was just too big.

I,m really pleased with the results. No more sanding my fingers away. Smooth as a wet lettuce when they come off the laser, and about 10 times the speed of my router.

That looks great. Have you tried gearotic motion yet? There is a free demo.

Havent seen that site before. I had actually been considering making a clock with non round gears but couldn't get round to designing the gears. Have downloaded the demo from this site and it looks quite good. Will have a good look at it later and see if it's worth buying the software. Thanks for pointing that out :D
