My tube is 700mm and the one from Light Object is listed at 850mm. Not sure if that is a typo or not.

Kevin, did you also use a laser PSU from ColeTech? I'm interested in their PSUs because I'm told that they have a trim pot on the side that can be used to limit the max output current. That would be useful in a multi-user environment (like our hackerspace) to ensure that no-one accidentally dials up the current too high. If you used their PSU, what did you think of it?

I did not buy my power supply from the same company. I bought one from Light Object.

I have close to $2500.00us in my build as well. I built the 1.x version to get the larger cutting area. I have the 40w tube from Light Object (LO) and the 60w power supply from LO.
Additionally I have the DSP/optics/flow meter and use LaserCad.

I went with the 60w PSU in order to prepare for possible upgrade to 60w tube.

All up cost here was about $2500 also, with DSP, laser and all electrics from LightObject and skins from Improbable Construct.
