Hey,
thank you very much! 1/128 should give just about 1 um /pulse with my setting which should work for the x7. But 200 mm / s is not very fast ;-)
I hope i can live with that. One thing that is really strange: My engravings are pretty good without any problems but the cutting is that bad. I
will give it a try. Which drivers did you buy? i currently use the m415c

I bought leadshine dm442c drivers cheap on ebay. It's closer to the 150mm/s. Wood was alway decent with engraving. Anodized aluminum is now very crisp at a smaller font.

To gicve you an estimate, A cutting board with a 7"x7" engraving took 40 minutes. (Estimating on size since I no longer have it.)

I'm sure you could go with a lower resolution and still be satisfactory quality wit a ltitle higher speed. I just haven't played with that yet.

All depends on what you're looking for in your laser.
