Possible mistake in the 2.x Z Motor Upgrade drawing

Postby dirktheeng » Fri May 13, 2011 9:58 pm

Bart,

I noticed something as I was putting together the order. In the Gantry drawing the NEMA 17 motor is given as B10-10001, which has a 5mm shaft. The same motor is listed in the z axis upgrade kit, but the mating pulley is listed as a 1/4" with part number A6T16-020DF2508 rather than a A_6T16M020DF6005 which is the same but a 5mm shaft. either we have to use the stepper motor from keeling or we have to use a different pulley.

That is incorrect, but I think all the kits I send out are correct. Did you receive a 1/4 pulley? Initially the motor company told me I was getting 1/4 shaft, but the changed. That was the big initial hold up on the motors. The error is a hold over from them.

Bart,

When you say "that's incorrect" do you mean that the drawing is incorrect or that I am missunderstanding something?

My mechatronics kit came with 5mm shafted motors and a 5mm shaft pulley for the x axis.

Do you mean kits for the z-axis upgrade?

The drawing is incorrect, but I believe I sent the right parts. If not, PM me.
