Makerslide at Inventables.

Postby bdring » Tue Mar 20, 2012 6:04 pm

Makerslide will soon be sold through Inventables. Right now there is an email notification page setup.

https://www.inventables.com/technologies/makerslide

Soon there will be a pre-order page where you can order the extrusion. The pre-order page will take the orders and count down to the point at which we can send the cut list to the extruder. If you want to get some Makerslide go to Inventables and get on the list. The more people that order, the quicker the count will get to zero.

While you are there check out all the cool stuff they have. They specialize in selling materials to small scale makers like us and are working towards becoming the online hardware store for DIY Manufacturing.

Congratulations! I LOVE Inventables, have been on their weekly newsletter for about a year. I wish I had more disposable income, they have all sorts of neat stuff I want to buy but cannot justify to the wife.

Thanks for the update. I went ahead and submitted an order since the page is up. Looks like I'll have to wait and see when it will get processed/shipped.

Fixed Rate Shipping!

It might not be obvious for non Inventables regular customers, but Inventables ships everything to US customers for $8 regardless of how much they buy. That includes the heavy Makerslide.

Often my shipping exceed the Makerslide cost :(

wow, $12 flat rate shipping to Canada is cheap!

Will they have the wheels/bearings/eccentric nuts etc, or do we need to order those from makerslide.com?

They will get all that stuff as soon as the goal is met. You can add it to the order without paying shipping. I do not know about international shipping. You better send them an email to verify that.

I did, it's $12 flat rate with UPS, international is $34 for USPS. Very good pricing.

Looks like I'll have enough Makerslide lying around for a few projects!

Placed my order!
I hope to build a bit larger ORD Bot after I complete the original.
