DSP/ x axis inaccuracy

Postby J45on » Sat Aug 20, 2011 3:08 pm

Can anybody shed some light on a problem I am having with accuracy of cuts :?
The inaccuracy only appears in the X-axis as far as I can tell
This is the same item copy and pasted multiple times into the same file
so all should be identical (DSP files attached bellow)

It is hard to photograph but the fingers go out of line in the x axis,if I place the parts vertically they clear every hole nicely

test files.zip
.pwj phcad file and .ud DSP file

problem solved

Postby J45on » Sat Aug 20, 2011 7:08 pm

Problem found I think :? my Y axis pulley only has 18 teeth instead of 20
An 18 tooth pulley gives 1111.111 steps/inch according to the calculator
Time to pull apart my Z axis motor and try its pulley

EDIT Fitting the 20 tooth pulley seems to have improved things :D time for some testing now
