Power entry module

Postby JValliere » Thu May 23, 2013 2:27 pm

I'm beginning the process of wiring the electronics of my 1.x laser w/ LO DSP control.
The power entry module I have requires a couple of 5mm x 20mm 250v fuses (purchased from Mouser).
Can someone give me a little help on the fuse amp requirement? (What info do I need to provide?)
Should I fuse the laser PS from the terminal strip?

Thanks,
Jim

I did not fuse anything. I just used 14 awg wiring on all stuff that runs on AC and let the house circuit breakers deal with it. You should never run the machine unattended for a lot of other reasons anyway.

If you are really worried about it, I would use a 6 amp slow blo.

Excellent!! No intentions of letting it ever run unattended, too much time invested in this to do that.

Thanks,
