Adjustable Bottle Neck Adapter (rotational unit)

Postby Techgraphix » Sat Sep 08, 2012 9:27 am

Using the Buildlog-rotational-unit i found it difficult to place a bottle horizontal. The neck was to thin to adjust the idlerwheels so that the bottle was horizontal. I noticed most bottlenecks where between 25 and 30mm round.
This ABNA (Adjustable Bottle Neck Adapter) can be centred around 25 to 30mm bottlenecks and make the diameter 70mm.
Aligning the bottle is very easy now.

Nice work! Simple and effective with a good acronym to boot.

very cool! Where did you find the drawings/files for the plastic parts of the rotational unit?

No problem to share the files but i do it in ArtCam, If you use that too i can send you that file too..
I included the vectors in EPS-format in a ZIP.. you have to make your own toolpaths and adjust the depths to your material size..
I used 2mm thick carbon-epoxy for the wheel, the clamps(sliders) are 15mm thick and the block was made from 25mm POM
Some of the allenscrews need to be turned off a bit to fit in the wheel's slot.
