My laser is nearing completion and I need to think about fire safety
Thats when I came across this



They have turned the laser into a barbecue :lol:

That guy must be used to it if he had a fire blanket ready and waiting on the front of the machine but he used it a bit too late i think.

We have never had a fire problem in 5 years with the 2 lasers at work, they just occasionaly have a flameup from dirt in the honeycomb table or the brown backing paper on the acrylic.
I have cut everything on them from wood to rubber, plastics,cardboard,paper etc

Its good to have a well designed air assist system by the laser head, this really helps to keep flameups and fires to a minimum.

I plan to have a fire extinguisher mounted on the side of my machine so its close by.

I think that fire safety is really important and we need to talk about it more! I recently had to do admission essay online about fire protection and I'm glad I found your post as we need to talk more about this!
